David Colberg
Vice President of Global Government Affairs and Public Policy, Alteryx
David Colberg joined Alteryx as Vice President of Global Government Affairs and Public Policy in June 2021. In this position, he advises corporate leadership on a range of policy and regulatory issues regarding data science, governance and emerging technologies, and serves as the company’s primary interface with governments around the world.
Before coming to Alteryx, David was Senior Director for Government Affairs at Palo Alto Networks and previously served in this role at EMC Corporation, now part of Dell Technologies. During his time at EMC, David coordinated all policy and advisory functions for RSA, The Security Division of Dell EMC, and he continues to serve as the head of policy and government programming for the RSAC Conference.
Prior to entering the private sector, David served in the United States Navy as Secretary of the Navy’s Liaison Officer to the U.S. Congress and aide to the Navy’s Chief of Legislative Affairs. As a Patrol and Reconnaissance Naval Flight Officer, he participated in various overseas campaigns including Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Unified Assistance following the Indian Ocean tsunami in 2004. David is a native of Bismarck, North Dakota, and received his Bachelor of Science in Political Science from the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland.
