Gregory Purdy
Associate Professor
Dr. Gregory Purdy is an Assistant Professor of Industrial & Systems Engineering at Auburn University. He received a B.S. in Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering from Oregon State University as well as a M.S. and Ph.D. in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Virginia Tech. Dr. Purdy works on both fundamental and applied areas of advanced manufacturing. His primary research focus is developing comprehensive solutions for cyber-physical security in manufacturing.
His work has been funded by the National Science Foundation, Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, and the National Institute for Standards and Technology. In addition to cyber security for manufacturing, his other research interests include Model-based Systems Engineering, process optimization of novel manufacturing systems, and simulation.
