Victoria Dillon

Deputy Director and Chief Communications Officer

Victoria Dillon currently serves as Deputy Director and Chief Communications Officer at the McCrary Institute for Cyber and Critical Infrastructure Security where she oversees McCrary’s multiple media platforms and leads the institute’s communications and media strategy.

She most recently served in the White House as the Assistant National Cyber Director for Public Affairs in the Office of the National Cyber Director. There, she led the effort to develop and execute a comprehensive communications strategy for one of the newest White House offices which was working every day to coordinate and implement national cyber policy and strategy.

She previously served as the Chief External Affairs Officer at the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) in the Department of Homeland Security. She led a dynamic team of communicators at the nation’s cyber defense agency helping inform critical infrastructure providers, technology companies and many partners about how they can reduce risk, build resilience, and ultimately keep the nation safer.

Prior to her role at CISA, Victoria spent time working for several leading technology companies – first with Amazon Web Services, where she handled communications for their global public sector business – and later at Cisco Systems, where she managed communications for their global public policy initiatives.

Victoria returned to government after serving as press secretary and chief spokesperson at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and for members of House leadership on Capitol Hill, including Congresswoman Louise Slaughter (NY-28), the first woman to chair the powerful House Rules Committee.

Victoria holds a certificate in Business, International Relations and the Political Economy from the London School of Economics and Political Science, is a proud graduate of the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications and Martin J. Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University, and is an even prouder native of Buffalo, New York.
