The McCrary Institute for Cyber and Critical Infrastructure Security is a leader in shaping national policy that protects America’s critical infrastructure from emerging digital threats.
Guided by our mission to defend the systems that power our national and economic security, our communities and our way of life, we bring together insights from our McCrary experts and senior fellows to put forth thoughtful policy recommendations as we spotlight and promote leading voices in cybersecurity, national security and emerging technology.
We do this by:
- Engaging our task forces of McCrary senior fellows and putting forward policy analysis, white papers and recommendations that help lawmakers and industry leaders solve some of the toughest challenges in cybersecurity
- Hosting conversation-spurring events including our McCrary Cyber Summit
- Spotlighting and promoting leading voices in cybersecurity, national security and emerging technologies through our weekly Cyber Focus podcast
- Advocating for thoughtful policy by testifying on Capitol Hill and working closely with lawmakers and leading administration figures in the White House and across agencies
We focus on the following policy areas:
- Defending U.S. critical infrastructure
- Countering the threat from the People’s Republic of China
- Advancing offensive cyber policy
- Streamlining U.S. cyber rules
- Strengthening support for state and local governments
